Festival in Nepal  Teej is the festival of women in Nepal. It falls in the month of early September this year 3, 4 & 5 Sep. Married women observe Teej fast to honor Lord Shiva and for long and healthy life of their husband. Unmarried girls also observe fast on this day for a good husband. Teej celebrations lasts for three pious days. Traditional dances and songs are important feature of Teej celebrations. Red color is considered auspicious for women observing Teej festival and most of womens dress up red or bridal color.

Festival In Nepal Teej is an annual festival of Nepali women. The festival is celebrated with utmost dedication and love by the women in Nepal. Preparations for the festival begin well in advance. Fabric stores, sarees and suit outlets are stocked with the bridal red color fabric. Most of the Women spend big time shopping when Teej is near coming.

Festival in Nepal  Teej celebrations are carried further with great feasts and traditional performances. On this day, women dress up beautifully. They clad themselves in red colored apparels, wear glass bangles, heavy ornaments and apply henna. Teej gives women an opportunity to meet their childhood friends, sisters and  dress like the newly weded bride. They worship the epitome of divine marriage – Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, for love, long live and prosperity for their husband and family.

3 days Teej celebrated in Nepal each day has an significants

Day 1 – Dar khane Din which is day to make merry eat lot of nice food.

Day 2 – Fasting day which day pray without food all day only after sunset  and pray god and they eat.

Day 3 – Rishi Panchami which day perform Teej Puja with all cleans the sins of the previous year and finished it, perform by priest a Hindu Guru devotional pray.
